dream camera

What do you get when you combine a La Sardina + Colorsplash + Digital Harinezumi? Well no such thing exists but it was so cool to be able to experience using one in my dream. Yup, it was all a dream. I remember being able to configure it and even take pictures, it was so surreal, and then I woke up. :(

This is the La Sardina El Capitan it's a 35mm sardine can camera. It has a wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities and rewind dial. It also comes with Fritz the Blitz, Lomography’s most powerful flash ever!

Here are some sample photos taken with the La Sardina from lomography.com:

The Colorsplash is just like any regular 35mm film camera, but what's special about it is you can add a splash of color to your photos with the use of it's colored filters. It comes with 12 tinted gel filters, 3 of which are already built in and with 9 more colors to choose from, you can surely make your photos more fun, colorful and vibrant.

Some Colorsplash photos from lomography.com:

And last but not the least, the Digital Harinezumi it's a retro camera designed by Superheadz in Tokyo.  The retro camera features 2 Megapixel sensor and captures 1600×1200 still images and 640×480 video clips without sound. But a good thing is, there's now a Digital Harinezumi 2, improved with 3 megapixel image sensor, customized to offer sharp images and with audio features. Here's a sample clip:

So back to my dream, basically my dream camera had the body of a La Sardina El Capitan, it came with tinted filters like that of a Colorsplash camera and could take short clips like a Digital Harinezumi. It's like the perfect hipster/lomographer camera sent from heaven! Imagine the amount of film you could save and the awesome effects while maintaining the retro vibe of the photos this camera could capture! Something like this is too good to be true and the features kind of don't go together, like multiple exposures on a digital camera? On a DSLR maybe but with my dream camera? LOL. Well, my dream camera will just stay as it is, a dream. But maybe someday somebody can invent a camera with such features. :)

bump in the road

I'm going through a transition right now. It's hard. You have to set limits, control your feelings, and think objectively. I knew this day would come. Didn't expect it to be that difficult but we all have to live through it. And I guess I'm just learning. I hope that this feeling and this experience will teach me to be wiser, stronger and be able to control my emotions better. And maybe next time I might find the right and last one.

Erik Hassle - Bump in the Road

We all must go through it sometime
You were not the first, you know
You stick your head in the sunshine
Don't expect the worst, though

If a bird can sing with a broken wing
You'll learn to bend when the wind blows
The leaves may fall, but the trees stay tall
This is a bump in the road
Don't give up, you will make it
Don't give up, you will make it

We all must go through it sometime
You were not the first, you know
Love got more hooks than a fish line
Belive it hurts, oh-ooh

If a bird can sing with a broken wing
You'll learn to bend when the wind blows
The leaves may fall, but the trees stay tall
This is a bump in the road
Don't give up, you will make it
Don't give up, you will make it

Out of the dark
Into the light
Over the edge
Over your life

We all must go through it sometime
You were not the first
You stick your head in the sunshine
Don't expect the worst, oh-ooh

If a bird can sing with a broken wing
You'll learn to bend when the wind blows
The leaves may fall, but the trees stay tall
This is a bump in the road
Don't give up, you will make it
Don't give up, you will make it

intro

So I made another blog again. I have been contemplating for days on whether or not I should do this, so here goes... It's a new year (yes, according to the lunar calendar) so for this chinese new year my resolution would be to brake my old patterns and try to be more proactive... yeah whatever that means.

This blog just serves as an outlet for me to pour out my frustrations, interests, random thoughts, etc. And by the way, I'm not some emo/goth/suicidal kid who likes to post about morbid and dark stuff. The line happy suicides just stuck when I read it from a magazine around 6 years ago. I really think there is a truth to that, that there is a little amount of happiness in facing death, well that's just a thought. I don't know what goes on in life after death but being released from all these worldly things, events, feelings and all the chaos could be very relieving.  (I think I'm going in circles here) So let me just share a video I saw on youtube about a person's choice when it comes to dying.

What a way to start a blog, all about death. lol
